Band inculcate the spirit of patriotism and unity among school students that comes with performing in a band. A School band uniquely encourages a feeling of oneness, belonging and a deep sense of pride in school children. The rhythm of a band instills a feeling of action, courage and patriotism in children and adults alike. A competition of this kind will help rejuvenate and rekindle the spirit of various school bands in the schools throughout the country. Keeping this in mind, Anchorwala Education Academy, a well known ICSE School from Vashi, Navi Mumbai had organised inter school Band Competition - INSIGNIA on Friday,8th February 2019. The event saw participation of various schools from Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Holy Cross High School emerged as overall winners.
