The Government of Maharashtra has entered into an MoU with Cambridge University Press & Assessment India to upgrade the state’s school curriculum, teacher development and learning materials to international standards. The agreement covers professional certification for teachers (including CELTA/IKI), incorporation of life-skills, climate education and digital literacy in classrooms across rural and urban schools. The reform aligns with NEP goals of holistic education and will be piloted in 100 schools during the coming academic year. Minister of School Education Pankaj Bhoyar noted that this collaboration is timely given the urgency to prepare students for a global environment. Implementation will begin in the current quarter, with monitoring by a joint steering committee.
