The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has launched a statewide digital teacher‐training bootcamp aimed at equipping over 10,000 government school teachers with skills in online pedagogy and blended learning methods. The initiative introduces modules on interactive video lessons, classroom analytics and virtual classroom management. Principals and headmasters attended the inaugural session in Chennai, where officials emphasized aligning training with the National Education Policy 2020’s focus on teacher capacity building and technology-integration. The department says the bootcamp will roll out district-by-district through December and will monitor teacher feedback via a dedicated app. Rural schools, in particular, are expected to benefit from upgraded connectivity and resource access under this programme.
