With the physical weight on growing children being reduced, now Maharashtra government decided to introduce a foreign education scholarship scheme for the 'open' (general) category and other backward class (OBC). Students from the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) already get scholarship for studying in foreign varsities. Where in students will be funded for taking admission in about 200 foreign universities. The selected students will get the funds to take admission more than 200 foreign university. Upto 30% scholarship will be reserved for women students.
