Mr. G. T. Thampi, working for last 31 years , has done his Post Graduate in Mechanical Engineering and PhD in Business process in Engineering spoke with First Education News Team about Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.
Mr. Thampi said, “Robotics is much discussed now days. Japan invested lot of amount in Robotics thinking that there will be wide scope in Robotics. But it is said the Labour Intensive Economy will not adopt Robotics. Still Robotics is being adopted in certain Industries like Automotive, Aircraft industry etc.”
“Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) was there for last 20 years. Now, there are some new founds and energy in creating A.I. driven software and hardware for various purpose. The Industries are making Hugh investments in Artificial Intelligence. Universities should also gear up to adopt the changes”
There is massive market and scope for engineers. Industries are spending Hugh amount on research so to create new class of jobs.
The students should learn new Technics such as soft computing technique, cloud computing, sentimental analysis, data mining data analysis.
