SHREYAS Scheme Introduced to skill non Technical Students.

After the successful implementation of skill development courses for technical students, the Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry in collaboration with the National Skill Ministry and Labour and Employment Ministry has collaboratively launched SHREYAS – Scheme for Higher Education Youth for Apprenticeship and Skills.

The students from non technical courses such as B.A., B.Com B.Sc. can visit the website shreyas.ac.in and fill the application for apprenticeship.

Further, the Minster has also planning to change the the curriculum of non-technical courses to make it more employment friendly and provide students with more skills

1000 hours coursework will be added to B.A., B.Com and B.Sc.course which will include 250 hours of each soft and ICT Skills and 500 hours for dedicated specific skill course. Thus the courses will be called as B.A. Professional, B.Com. Professional and B.Sc. Professional programme.

While these three courses will be launched from coming the academic year 2019-20 onwards, the ministry also aims to expand the bring other graduate and postgraduate level programs under the ambit.
