“TikTok” Plans to Enter Indian Education Market

China-based ByteDance, the parent company of popular short video application TikTok enters Indian education sector. “TikTok” partners with big edtech companies. These edtech companies will create content videos on various subjects that will help relevant users on TikTok. TikTok has started a new campaign #EduTok, which has gained more than 37 billion views. “Digital evolution and the boom in smartphone adoption is redefining the learning patterns of the digital community at large. With these partnerships, we are building an education ecosystem that gives learners the opportunities to thrive in their respective careers and subjects and help solve their challenges with ease,” said Sachin Sharma, Director, Sales and Partnerships, TikTok India. The platform will not only provide educational content on subjects like English, Science, Biology etc. but also provide current affairs, vocabulary and post-graduate pro of the digital community at large.
