Launch of Mobile Library by Mahatman Foundation
Reading gives knowledge, knowledge gives opinion. Libraries should take initiative to promote reading culture in rural areas. For this Mahatman Foundation is starting a commendable initiative. Mahatman Foundation is launching a mobile library “Wisdom on Wheels” which will travel from village to village to make the books available to the people for reading.
Mahatman Foundation has been working since 2 years in education sector. Distributing educational materials, scholarships for higher education and also providing educational assistance to the promising, hardworking students.
In today’s era where reading needs to be encouraged and facilitated, a mobile library would be a great initiative. This mobile library is made in a passenger motor vehicle that has all kinds of books, from sci-fi to mathematics and from horror and comedy. This mobile library will go to villages, remote areas, different cities, urban areas close to Pune. Motive behind the mobile library is to convince people about the importance of reading. Not only this, this book collection is going to be open to all. Young and old can borrow books from this library just like a regular library.
This mobile library will be inaugurated on the occasion of 75th Independence Day of India, 15th August, 2022 at Zilla Parishad Primary School Kasar Amboli, Pirangut at 8.00 am. Lets come together and witness this fascinating inauguration ceremony of mobile library.
