Polls to hit Mumbai University Exams and Vacations

As the polls are scheduled on April 29th in MMR and April 23rd in Raigad District, the colleges of Mumbai University coming under these jurisdictions are required to remain closed one day before and after poll dates i.e. 22nd April, 24th April and 30th April (being 28th April is Sunday).

The exams falling on these days may have to be postponed. Some Centers will also be used for poll counting on May 23rd. University of Mumbai will not schedule exams on these days.

The university had announced the commencement dates for most exams, except engineering. The detailed time-table was kept on hold for many papers. “The TYBCom exam ends on April 22. he last exam on an applied component paper may have to be rescheduled,” said a university official. Some TYBA and TYBSc exams, starting in the second week of April, will have to be rescheduled.

vacations were anyway hit as first-year exams were to commence from April 30th and will end up in mid-May.
