H Ward Science Exhibition 2025-26 Announced: Young Minds to Showcase Innovation for a "Vikasit Bharat"

MUMBAI: The H Ward has officially announced the schedule and guidelines for the 53rd Science Exhibition for the academic year 2025-26, setting the stage for a showcase of student innovation and scientific temper. This year’s exhibition will be held from December 3rd to December 5th, 2025, at Sheth Anandilal Podar Vidyalay in Santacruz West.

Theme: STEM for Vikasit and Atmanirbhar Bharat
Aligning with NCERT guidelines, this year’s central theme is "STEM for Vikasit and Atmanirbhar Bharat". The event aims to highlight environmentally friendly solutions and address current societal needs through seven key sub-themes:

Sustainable Agriculture

Waste Management and Alternatives to Plastic

Green Energy

Emerging Technologies

Recreational Mathematics Modeling

Health and Hygiene

Water Conservation and Management

Participation & Categories
The exhibition is open to students from Upper Primary (Classes 1-8) and Secondary/Higher Secondary (Classes 9-12). Students are encouraged to create exhibits, replicas, or scientific projects based on the sub-themes, with specific encouragement for innovations in technology and toys.

Key Categories for Entry:

Student Exhibits: Junior (Grades 1-8) and Senior (Grades 9-12).

Teaching Aids: For teachers of Grades 1-8 and 9-12.

Lab Assistant Projects.

Strict Guidelines on Originality
To ensure fair competition and genuine learning, the organizers have issued strict instructions:

No Market Projects: Ready-made projects purchased from the market will not be accepted.

No Repeats: Projects that participated in previous exhibitions or the INSPIRE Award Exhibition cannot be presented again.

Inclusivity: Schools are encouraged to support disabled students; if participating, one disabled student will be selected for the state-level exhibition.

Important Dates & Logistics
Entry Submission Deadline: Schools must submit entries by November 20, 2025.

Submission Venue: Entries and fees are to be submitted to National Girls' High School, Bandra (E).

Exhibit Setup: Exhibits must be brought to the exhibition venue (Sheth Anandilal Podar Vidyalay) on December 3rd, 2025, at 8:00 AM.

Science/Nature Club Evaluation: Clubs will be evaluated separately on December 2nd, 2025, at Stree Mandal Santacruz (Hiravati Hall).

Evaluation Criteria
Projects will be judged out of 100 marks, focusing on creativity (20 marks), scientific thought (15 marks), technical skill (15 marks), and utility for society (15 marks), among other criteria.

The education department, led by Mrs. Nisha Vaidu (Deputy Education Inspector) and Chief Convener Mrs. Saba Patel, expects 100% participation from all schools and Junior Colleges in the ward to make the event a grand success.
