Varsha Gaikwad, the Maharashtra School Education Minister, has decided to give all Maharashtra schools a two-week Diwali break from October 28 to November 10. During the Diwali holiday, schools are not permitted to hold online classes. For the next two weeks, Maharashtra's schools will be closed for Diwali. Varsha Gaikwad, Maharashtra's School Education Minister, announced the news on her official Twitter account. According to her tweet, all state-run schools will be closed for pre-primary and secondary education from October 28 to November 10, 2021. Online classes have also been suspended during this time period due to the Diwali holiday. "From October 28 to November 10, 2021, all pre-primary to higher secondary schools affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will have Diwali holidays." Online schooling will also be suspended during this time. Varsha Gaikwad, Minister of School Education, wished everyone a happy Diwali. In some parts of Maharashtra, the government has given schools some flexibility to resume physical education classes. After a long period of closure due to the COVID-19 outbreak, schools have reopened. Schools in Maharashtra reopened for physical education classes on October 4th, following a decrease in COVID-19 cases in most rural and urban areas.
