P.C.T’s A. P. Shah Institute of Technology (APSIT), Thane has set its benchmark sky high with a vision of becoming a premier institute producing globally competent engineering professionals to contribute towards socio-economic growth of India. A big step towards this global aspect was taken by collaborating with Ural Federal University, Russia. Taking the global relations further APSIT had the honor of hosting delegates from one of the world’s oldest public university, University of Naples Federico II, Italy.

Dr. Pasquale De Toro and Dr. Maria Cerreta represented University of Naples Federico II in carrying out discussions regarding various collaboration opportunities with APSIT. The faculties at APSIT, headed by Dr. Uttam Kolekar (Principal) and Dr. S. S. Nanivadekar (Dean Admin), were given a glimpse of the courses, campus life, research opportunities and placement possibilities in Italy.

APSIT showcased their commitment of imparting state of art technical education, analyzing skills, decision making abilities and leadership qualities in the students. Discussion are underway to formalize the relation between APSIT and University of Naples Federico II. Dr. Uttam Kolekar expressed his views stating “Global collaborations are a need of the future and APSIT is setting the trends in exposing the students to global advancements”
