This highly-anticipated event that has become an annual fixture of the research and medical community will be held at Hotel Le Meridien, Windsor Place, New Delhi, on 18 December 2022. The highlight of the event will be an illuminating oration lecture by Dr. Camran Nezhat, Clinical Professor of OBS & GYNAE, University of California San Francisco School of Medicine; Former Chair Association of Adjunct Clinical Faculty, Deputy Chief of the Department of OBS & GYNAE and Adjunct Clinical Professor of Surgery and OBS & GYNAE at Stanford University Medical School. He will address the audience on the topic ‘How to democratise and standardise surgeries with special reference to Minimal Invasive Gynaecology’. The presentation will focus on ‘Minimal Invasive Gynaecology’ which is one of the booming specialities in the medical field. With the advancement of science and technology, as well as the improvement of people's living standards, the demand for differentiated medical care, treatment approaches and quality of life is gradually increasing. People are concerned not only with the treatment's outcomes, but also with their comfort, privacy and recovery time. Thus, these techniques have made significant progress in recent years in terms of less pain, shorter hospital stays and fewer complications than traditional techniques. The theme of the oration lecture by Dr Nezhat is relevant to gynaecologists. In the future, techniques of the best surgeons in each field will be combined to render standardised procedures for different pathologies, which will assure that the highest quality of care is available to all. A luminary in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr. Camran Nezhat is also the father of modern-day surgery for inventing and pioneering video-assisted endoscopic surgery, which to this day, continues to replace old techniques of open surgery. His developments have revolutionized surgery and gradually replaced laparotomy. He and his team were the first to perform many of the most advanced laparoscopic surgical procedures with and without robotic-arm assistance. Dr. Nezhat's pioneering work has fundamentally changed contemporary surgery and opened a path for surgeons all over the world to help their patients. He continues to push the boundaries of advanced procedures and the development of safest and effective technologies to improve patient care and outcomes. Dr Nezhat’s session will be truly enlightening, given his extensive knowledge and experience in the field and he being one of the experts in the areas of laparoscopy, robotics and endometriosis. He is the author of eight textbooks and several hundred peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. He has trained many physicians around the world who have become pillars of their communities. This event will prove to be a great networking platform for doctors and researchers wherein they will share their knowledge & experiences about these concerns with each other as well as with other delegates present on the occasion.
