Apeejay students’ success stories in NEET 2022
28 September 2022:
Recently, Apeejay School students across our institutions triumphed at the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET).The National Testing Agency provides All India Rank (AIR) to the candidates, following which the admitting authorities draw a merit list for MBBS and BDS seats. Two students,
Afraaz Singh Sidhu
and
Aditya Kaushal
of Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar scored 663 and 665 respectively in the NEET 2022.This year a total of 18.72 lakh students appeared for the exam held on July 17, 2022 and as many as 9.03 lakh qualified in the exam. Afraaz Singh Sidhu, is eagerly waiting for the NEET counselling scheduled in three weeks. He is yet to shortlist government colleges for himself. He added “I have just gone through the counselling results from last year. I am doing my bit of research, but I am waiting for the NEET counselling to see which would be the best college for me.”Afraaz, who scored 663, also shared how he attempted the NEET question paper on the day of the exam. “In the final exam, like most aspirants, I attempted Biology first followed by Chemistry and then Physics. Time yourself so that there is at least an hour left for Physics.” Aditya Kaushal, who completed his schooling at Apeejay School Mahavir Marg recently, hopes to pursue a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). He says, “I am thinking about Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) instead of MBBS although some are suggesting otherwise. I think BDS would be better for me since I can continue my father’s practice.” Another student,
NandiniMaiti
from Apeejay School, Nerul, scored an impressive 673 out of 720, she is gearing up to join a top medical college in the country. She added “My strength lies in Biology. So, I was always inclined toward pursuing medicine as a career. My parents also want me to become a doctor.” Further, she thanked her teachers, and said “my teachers encouraged and helped me in every way possible. They were always available whenever I had any doubts or needed assistance with something. I am really grateful to them.”
