Mrs. Rohini Kulhali, Principal of Periwinkle English High School, Bavdhan, Pune spoke with First Education News on the topic of “Parenting Issues in 21st Century”.

She told, ” The parenting issues in 21st Century are different from the earlier due to increasing use of technology, Change in the lifestyle and social Media and Nuclear Families.”

“As children are having access to wide range of technology, there are chnces that they might use technology in wrong way or for wrong purpuses. Also the children are exposed to Social Media or Social Platform in very earlier age which can misguide them.”

She also said, “The Teachers and students realationship is getting changed day by day. As the form of teaching profession is changed , there exists a gap of communication, technical knowlege of, thought sharing between teachers and children “

She advised parents, “To monitor students in technology and social media they are using and guide them, So that they can make the use of technology in right and productive manner.”

She also told, “There should be proper and regular communication between parents and teachers”
