Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, one of the leading Engineering Colleges in Navi Mumbai, was established in 1990 under the eminent leadership of honourable Dr. Patangrao Kadam and is permanently affiliated to Mumbai University and approved by AICTE .

 Bharti Vidyapeeth College of Engineering is renowned for  quality education leading  new folds of technical fields. With a progressive mission of “Social Transformation through Dynamic Education”, the institute is consistently striving for the holistic development of the students.

It is Govern by Bharati Vidyapeeth. It is the organisation having 186 institutes under one umbrella

Mr. M. Z. Shaikh is a Principal of Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Navi Mumbai. He is working as a Principal since 2011 and having 26 years of experience.

Dr. M. Z. Shaikh described his opeinion on current Gap between Education and Industry

He said “ In the current education stuctrue 70% weightage is given to the theoretical knowledge and 30% to practicle. It should be vice versa. I.e 70% for practicle and 30% for theoretical.”

“ue this imbalance we are not able to produce industry ready graduates as the skill required for working in industry is missing “

He further says that “ colleges shouldtake certain initiative and work on  how we can focus on industrial  needs”]

In Bharati Vidyapeeth certain Value added courses are implemented brach wise to enhance skills of students

Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Navi Mumbai has also started an Incubation centre (EDP Cell) in their college. Students who are interested and having Innovative Ideas come and do research and make their projects. Various outside industries as well as Alumini who are noe industrialist mentor the students

He further says that Start up India Innitiateve taken by the government are very beneficial for students as current generation is creative and innovative and they also want to become entraprenuses. He also said that government has to minimise procedures and there should be single window clearance for start up registration etc.
