TECHPOST 2K18 organized by Department of Chemical Engineering in Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering
Department of Chemical Engineering, Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Navi Mumbai organized the first National Level Technical Poster Presentation competition TECHPOST 2K18 on 26th September 2018 in its campus.
There were five themes on which posters were based, namely Nanofiber Technology, Green Engineering & Technology, Energy Integration, Bio-fertilizers and Industrial Safety. Judges from various fields and institutes graced the event and judged the posters. Dr.Arun Deshmukh, Director of Jubiliant Pharma and Chemical Lab (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. was the chief guest of the event. Mr.Ghanshyam Bhosale, a Process Engineer from Technoforce Solution Pvt. Ltd., Nashik, Dr.Preeti Subedar, Asst.Manager of Godavari Biorefineries, Navi Mumbai, Dr. Veena Shinde, Associate Professor in BVCOE Pune and Prof. P.S.Chavan, Asst.Professor,Training & Placement Officer in Govt.Polytechnic, Thane were the judges for the event.
The event started at 10:30 am with the inauguration ceremony, which was graced by the dignitaries as well as the Principal of the college, Dr.M.Z.Shaikh, HOD chemical Engg, Dr.S.P.Shingare. The posters were put up at the Quadrangle of the college and ample arrangements were made to ensure the comfort of all the participants. The judges were very happy to see overwhelming response for Technical posters from participants and appreciated them and stressed on the fact that students need to look for experience rather than focus on results. A team from Belgavi, Karnataka won the first prize, followed by BVCOE,Navi Mumbai which won the second prize and a team from MGM, Kamothe won the third prize. All the three teams were awarded trophies by the judges.
This national level technical poster presentation competition which was meticulously planned and executed by the students who were supported and guided by the Convener Dr. M.V.Bagal and Co convener Prof. M.A.Suryawanshi and Prof. G.B.Kumbhar. Finally the event ended with remembering Late Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam’s words:
You have to dream before your dreams can come true.
Look at the sky. We are not alone. The whole universe is friendly to us and conspires only to give the best to those who dream and work.
Man needs his difficulties because they are necessary to enjoy success.
