A.P. Shah Institute of Technology, Organised Walkathon rally against the use of plastic.
A.P. Shah Institute of Technology , an engineering college at Ghodbandar Road Thane has organised today a Walkathon rally on ghodbandar road to bring awareness against the use of plastic.
Large number of students & faculty of A.P. Shah college participated in this rally displaying the environment safety messages. During rally students discussed & interacted with residents , shopkeepers & requested them to save environment by reducing and prohibiting use of the plastic.
Shri Vijay Kumar Katti a well known enviorn activist in thane & Shri Batu Sawant from Samarth Bharat Vyaspith an NGO with huge work in plastic recycling were present in the rally and were guiding students & faculty in spreading awareness message against the use of plastic.
Principal Dr. Uttam Kolekar & Dean Academics , Prof. A.M. Deshpande inaugurated walkathon rally from college campus.
Dr. Kolekar informed that A.P. Shah college in association with Shri Vijay Kutti & Samarth Bharat has declared Massive awareness campaign during 22nd September 2019 to 2nd October 2019 among the residential societies of Thane.
This campaign will involve discussion , presentation , street play & collection of plastic waste from participating residential societies in Thane.
