Vivekanand Education Society’s Polytechnic, Mumbai is one of the highly reputed polytechnic in Maharashtra, India. Established in year 1983 by the Vivekanand Education Society

Vivekanand Education Society (V.E.S.) started its educational activities in 1962 which now has over 18,000 students on the role of Primary Schools, High Schools, Junior College, College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Polytechnic & College of Engineering, College of Management Studies and College of Pharmacy. V.E.S. Polytechnic is affiliated to Maharashtra Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) and has been approved by AICTE. Over the years the institute marched towards excellence in technical education through sustained efforts of the quality staff, adapting improved teaching methodologies and by keeping pace with the latest technologies and industry requirements.

The Polytechnic is a part of a campus boasting various educational institutions resulting in an atmosphere conducive for learning

They are having 6 departments Instrumentation, Computer, Electronics and Telecommunication, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical

Mr. Vikrant Joshi is the Principal of Vivekanand Education Society’s Polytechnic College since 2010. He has joined the institute in1997

Mr. Vikrant Joshi Expressed his opinion on need of Innovation in Education Industry.

Mr. Vikrant Joshi says “ There exists a gap between what industries expect  and what curriculum imparting. To bridge this gap there is need of innovation in education.”

To bridge this Gap, VES Polytechnic has done tie up with different industries in different industries. These industries have set up their labs in VES. So students do there industrial projects in there campus itself. VES Polytechnic is also sending students for internship in different Industries

Mr. Vikrant Joshi also said that “To Train The Trainers” is also very important. Faculty should be aware about The Technical Changes happening in Industry.”
