International Yoga Day celebrated in Yashwantrao Chavan College, Koparkhairane

International Yoga Day was organized on 21st June at Yashwantrao Chavan College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Navi Mumbai. The program was started with introduction of Yoga Day by Dr. Varsha Mane.
In the introduction, she emphasized the importance of this day. The purpose of this day is to spread awareness about the benefits of spiritual and physical means. Yoga is very important for taking care of health and living a healthy life. The importance of yoga is growing in such a way that people not only in India but all over the world are taking the help of yoga to stay healthy. Every year June 21st is celebrated all over the world as International Yoga Day.
Students and teachers of the college also expressed their views on the occasion. During the program, Dr. Laxman Talanikar, Principal of the Senior College, guided the students on why the program is celebrated on 21st June and how to take care of their diet and daily activities and how to keep their health good, healthy and wholesome.
At the end of the program, Dr. Varsha Mane gave a demonstration of Yogasana to the students and Prof. Sana Nalband thanked the audience.
