75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav Celebrated By Modern School 2022-2023

On eve of 75th Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav

Following events were conducted:-
1.Rakhi making competition 10/8/2022.
2.Flag making activity 12/8/2022.
3.Singing competition 13/8/2022.
4.PPT on National symbols 17/8/2022.
5.Documentary film 17/8/2022.
6.Celebration of Gopal kala. 18/8/2022.

Rakhi making competition 10/8/2022.
Raksha bandhan is the festival of a relationship between brother and a sister. On this occasion sister ties a Rakhi on her brother’s wrist. She prays for his long life and prosperity. In return brother promises his sister to take care of her he gives her a gift as token of love. A Rakhi making competition was held in school on 10/8/2022.Students were guided by the tr’s to get following material colourful threads,wool, beads, sponge, mirrors, sequencesans glue. Students of std I to std IV of Primary English
Section of Modern School and Junior College took active interest in making beautiful rakhis
The winners were selected from all the divisions. And were falicitated with their ranks.
2.Flag making activity:- 12/8/2022
The tricolour flag stand for integrity of our nation. Saffron stands for courage, White stands for peace and Green stands for prosperity.
In the middle there is Ashoka chakra which has 24 spokes. The tricolour flag of our country is also known as Tiranga.
On 22nd July 1947,the tricolour flag was adopted by India.
The national flag of India was designed byMr Pingali Venkkaya, as swaraj flag.
The national flag is the symbol of freedom and secularism of our country.
Students of std I to std IV actively took part in making of the tricolour flag.
Std I made tricolour national flag by tearing marble paper and sticking it as per sequence of flag.
Std II made balls of tricolour crape papers and sticked it as per the sequence of flag
Std III made tricolour flag by folding marbles of tricolour and sticking it in wheel shape.
Std IV made tricolour flag by using stick or straw and marble papers.
Students made colourful and decorative flags which were used for school decorations as mark of Amrut Mohotsav.

3. Singing Competition 13/8/2022.

Music is an all in all a stress buster a therapist for the stressful.
Singing builds child’s self-esteem, promotes team work irrespective of age, gender and background. Celebrates diversity facilitates self expressions.
The beauty of music lies in the fact that it us universal language.
The theme of our competition was patriotic songs students of std I to std IV took best efforts to memorize the patriotic songs.. They presented it with proper intonation and were quiet clear and audible to the audience. The winners were felicitated.

India Is land of cultural heritages.People from different caste and religion reside in India. We represent a multilingual nation.Many languages such as Marathi,Tamil, Malayalam, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marwari, Bengali, Kanada, Haryanvi, Konkani, Bihari, Bhojpuri etc. As we depict lots of cultures in our rituals,cutoms and celebrations.
It becomes very essential for our students to know about our nation. So a ppt on national symbols was shown to students, which showed
National bird – Peacock
National animal- Tiger
National capital – Delhi
National game – Hockey
National flower Lotus
National currency – Indian rupee
National tree – Banyan tree
National song – Vandematram
National anthem – Jana Gana Mana
National vegetable – Pumpkin
National reptile – King Cobra
National fruit – Mango
And many more national symbols were shown to students.
Students were shown a documentary on that day to make them aware of the struggle faced by the soldiers to achieve freedom.
