P Ward Science Exhibition Conducted in Infant Jesus High School, Malad, Mumbai

P Ward, Mumbai conducted its ward level science exhibition in Infant Jesus High School, Malad, Mumbai on 11th December 2019 to 13th December 2019.

The Exhibition was conducted on Around 120 Schools from P Ward participated in the Exhibition. The Theme of the Exhibition was “Science And Technology for Sustainable development.”

Inauguration Ceremony was conducted on 11th December 2019 at 9.00 am. Chief Guests Shri Kapil Patil, Dr. K. Venkala Subramanyam, Mr. Eugine C. D’Souza, Mr. Subhajit Mukherjee and another dignitary Head Masters/ Mistress of various schools were present for the Ceremony. The dignitaries inaugurated the Science Exhibition.

The Scientific fervor paved way for a new innovative display by the young middle school students of Grade VI and VII of Aspee Nutan Academy.

The opening project presented by the Academy students grasped the attention of all age groups from school goers to the Scientists guests who were captivated by the innovative idea of Tyre’s manufacturing Company idolized by Robotics. The entire working of the model was done by these talented students who proved that not just in big banners like Germany brand Mercedes can have robots working, but it is possible to have the entire unit in India to run by Robots thereby reducing manpower and resulting in maximum outputs by having a company manufacturing almost 24/7 in all 365 days.

The students emphasized that such robotic technology if applied would lead India as the highest manufacturers all across the globe.

The array of exhibits, science projects, Teaching Aids, Population Education projects of various schools has indeed boosted the morale of the students and teachers together.

A Seminar was conducted by Dr. Richard D’Souza, The Scientific Officer from BARC for students.

On the Second Day, which is on 12th December 2019, The Prize Distribution for Saha-Shaleya Upakram was conducted at 2 pm. The Chief Guests Senior TV Artist Shri Chandrashekhar Shukla, Child Artist Master Varun Buddhadev, Founder Trustee of Infant Jesus School Mrs. Juliana Pais, President of The Greater Bombay Science Teachers Association, Mr. Shrikant Shingare were Present.

Chief Guests facilitated the winners of Sahashaleya Upakram.

Hands-on Workshop on STEM Based Robotics by Miss Komal Mulik, Research Assistant from Pi Code Club and Pi Code Club Team. Students enjoyed learning Ultrasinuc Principal practically and making an obstacle avoiding bot by themselves.

On the Third Day of the Exhibition, i.e. on 13th December 2019, a Seminar was conducted by Mr. Subhajit Mukherjee, the founder of Mission Green House.

Closing Ceremony was conducted by a vote of thanks to all participants, Principals, Convenors and Chief Guest, Deputy Education Director, Mr. Rajendra Ahire, Education Inspector, Mr. Anil Sable, Secretory of Infant Jesus School, Clementine D’souze, Scientific Officer of BARC, Dr. Richard D’Souza were present of the Ceremony.

The Most waited for awards of the Exhibition – Best schools award for the year 2019-20 were announced. The 1st Prize was bagged by CHILDREN’S ACADEMY, Malad East whereas INFANT JESUS SCHOOL Malad West and Dr s.radhakrishnan Vidyalay Malad West stood 2nd and 3rd respectively.

An amalgamation of creativity, hard work and perseverance were showcased in this program. A complete network of team spirit was observed.
