The Motto behind selecting Borimal pada for NSS Camp was to develop village in next 3 years in which primary objective was to solve their basic problems like water availability, education and their overall lifestyle.

Before NSS unit of Saraswati College of Engineering adopted Borimal Pada for development. The residents of Borimal Pada had to travel 400m daily for water sources and during month of April – May those sources used to get dried up. During last year camp NSS unit of SCOE built 7000 liter Ferrocement water tank at center of Borimal pada to ensure water gets available to residents of Borimal pada easily.

In 2018 Camp NSS unit of SCOE Planned their camp to develop school and Water availability of Borimal pada, during Pre-camp survey our team found out that School infrastructure of Borimal pada need renovation and aesthetic touch to attract students.

Also It was observed that during month of April may the primary resource of drinking water in Borimal gets dried up , which was primary issue since water is basic requirement for humans and other domestic animals.

For School Renovation Principal of SCOE Dr. Manjusha Deshmukh and Programme officer of NSS unit of SCOE Prof. Pooja Somani had meeting with The CEO of Raigad , Mr. Abhay Yawalkar, he had shown great interest and support in this work, with their guidance, BDO Sanjay Bhoye and Grampanchayat of Umbre supported the NSS unit of SCOE with Equipments for renovation.

NSS unit painted walls of school infrastructure from both inside and outside, drawn aesthetic paintings on walls to create study friendly atmosphere in school , built Compound wall around periphery of school to avoid domestic animals away from school building.

To increase water availability of Borimal pada, continuous contour trenches (CCT) was proposed by our Volunteer Samadhan Lad.

BDO Sanjay Bhoye supported our Proposal of CCT by providing equipments for our volunteers to complete CCT. CCT will increase ground water level by 10 lakh liter in 1 monsoon according to our calculated data. Which will save up money and time of to purchase 100 water tanker (of 10,000 liter ) during summer season.
